Tamiya 58703 au TOM’s GR Supra GT500 on TT-02 Chassis


Tamiya is proud to announce the Toyota GR Supra GT500 as a 1/10 RC scale mounting kit to the TT-02 chassis.
The GR Supra GT500 was developed under GT500 class regulations to replace the LEXUS LC500 that flourished in three seasons from 2017 to 2019.
Featuring the aerodynamic design of the GR Supra road car, this race car features a carbon monocoque chassis, dedicated aerodynamic and drivetrain components, as well as a 2,000cc direct injection turbocharged inline 4-cylinder (“RI4AG” engine).
Model Features:
– R/C model assembly kit in 1/10 scale. Length: 466mm, width: 188mm, height: 125mm. Wheelbase: 257mm.
– The powerful shape of the GR Supra GT500 is stylishly reproduced by a rigid, lightweight polycarbonate body (clear) with separately molded polycarbonate front light shields (LEDs are not attachable. The “au” livery is faithfully reproduced.
– Includes set of stickers and masking sheet for use during the painting process.
– Separate black ABS resin parts realistically reproduce the side mirrors and the large rear wing.
– The model uses the 4WD TT-02 chassis with gimbal drive that offers high adaptability and stability.
– The 12-spoke gunmetal wheels are matched with slick racing tires.
– Includes item 51007 “M” urethane bumper (normally used on the TT-01E and TGS chassis) to keep the body in great condition.
– 540 motor included.

Full-scale rally chassis that expands the driving field
The motor is placed vertically on the front mid, and power is transmitted from the spur gear in the center of the car body via the front and rear equal length propeller shafts. It is a shaft drive 4WD chassis that expands the driving field, where you can enjoy not only on-road but also flat dirt and dynamic rally driving. Equipped with 39T gear differentials on the front and rear, and a set of 40T gears for setting. It is also possible to change the front and rear drive distribution by changing the combination. In addition, heavy objects are mounted closer to the center, and the width of the chassis is narrowed. A long oil damper made of aluminum cylinder is attached to the double wishbone 4-wheel independent suspension.

Look into the Tamiya 58706 Thunder Shot 2022 & 58704 Toyota Land Cruiser 40 Pick-Up Quadtrack GF-01FT kits


Tamiya is all about the model building experience and they offer some truly unique kits for the RC builder segment. New models are constantly being released, some with variations and some are new takes on some classic kits. We just received two new kits in the shop to take a look at and Greg thought he’d take the time to unbox them to show new builders what’s inside a Tamiya build-up kit. The first kit is a rerelease of a classic buggy, the Thunder Shot. This is a 4wd off-road buggy and it’s mostly a rerelease of the 2005 Thunder Shot rerelease. Which is good because it has a few changes from the original and will be a fun build that will bring hobbiests back down memory lane. The other kit featured here is the Toyota Land Cruiser 40 QuadTrack! This fun 4×4 build is fitted with Tamiya’s tracks for some wild off-road fun in sand, snow and mud. Both kits are certainly going to be a lot of fun to build and we’ll feature them in upcoming review videos, but for now enjoy diving into two new kits with Greg!
