New product videos of Tamiya 58723 Fiat 131 Abarth Rally Olio Fiat (MF-01X) & 58686 VQS (2020)
The Fiat 131 Abarth Rally made its debut in 1976 global rally races and became champion three times. Based upon the well-loved Fiat family car 131 Mirafiori, the rally version was customized by Abarth and in 1976 and 1977, it mainly raced in the livery of the Fiat oil brand Olio Fiat: this assembly kit creates an R/C model of that car. The alluring shape of the car is recreated using a polycarbonate body, with separate parts for quadruple headlights, spotlights and roof spoiler.
This R/C model assembly kit is an updated re-release version of a 1988 buggy from the Tamiya back catalog, which inherited its make-up from the legendary race-oriented Avante. The forward cockpit body design – and the rear wing – are molded in lightweight polycarbonate and pre-painted black, pre-cut with body mount holes pre-made to save on some preparation work. An ABS plastic monocoque frame is employed, with responsive shaft-driven 4WD plus a triple differential setup, four-wheel double wishbone suspension and plenty more – superb off-road driving awaits!
