Introducing the featured sections of Tamiya Mini 4WD JAPANCUP 2019 Miracle Baron Circuit videos

Miracle Baron Circuit 2019
Miracle Baron Circuit 2019, the setting for the 2019 Japan Cup. Of the three layouts available: North (North), East (East), and West (WEST), the layout of North will be used as an example to introduce the whole story!

Digital Zone 2
Two consecutive digital dragonbacks are placed between the four digital corners to shake the machine up, down, left or right. The key is how to prevent the slowdown in this section on the first lap and the stability at the time of entry into the section on the second and subsequent laps on which the speed was applied.

New Era Turn
A corner bearing the name of Cap brand New Era that supports Champion Cap. The point is to pass the corners smoothly to accelerate the machine towards the second half of the course.

Kicker flap
A special section with a flap type jump platform whose angle changes depending on the machine weight. There is also a fear of a big jump → course out as the light machine jumps upward without the flap falling down. The reaction weight and angle of the flap may differ depending on the venue.

Fujitsu Pop
Japan’s 90th curve “Fujitsu Pop” with the name of the Fujitsu battery that provides the Japan Cup. A sharp curve section that looks easy, but doesn’t look like it looks as the machine passes at high speed.

Rising Phantom Changer
Rare Section “Phantom Changer” is further evolved. The caution section where speed and power are required that the machine on the speed climbs a gentle slope and lands on a wide landing, and then runs up a steep slope with an angle of 60 degrees.

Balancing straight
The straight is much wider than usual. The road surface on both sides of the course is lower than the central part, and if you do not go straight, the chassis will contact the road surface, resulting in significant speed loss. The section where the straight running stability of the machine is asked.

Last turn
The last turn following the balancing straight. How much speed can I keep after passing a rising phantom changer or a balancing straight? And it is the border of the game whether the machine that reached the highest speed can withstand the cornering of the last turn.

Miracle Baron Circuit 2019 Onboard video
“North (North)”, “East (East)”, “WEST (West)” in order, introduce the video of the on-board camera that ran the Miracle Baron Circuit 2019. Identify the circuit characteristics in each layout pattern and prepare for the tournament!

The 18th Tamiya World Modelers Contest Winners

Super Kids Land Award Touring Shuji Tatsuya

The 18th Tamiya World Modelers Contest was held. This time the day of bringing in works overlapped with the local event, and despite the crowded area around the Super Kids Land Main Store in Osaka Nihonbashi, which was the venue, a very large number of works of 137 points were gathered. Shuji Ashiya’s “Touring” was awarded the Super Kids Land Award. This is a big work with 1/6 motorcycles, African twins and lights. The Tamiya Prize-General Division, who caught the eye in vivid colors, “Mizutama” of Satoshi Nakata. As its name suggests, it is not only eye-catching to the emerald-colored paint, it is a work full of attractions such as piping and accessories detail-up that have been added to the engine room. Tamiya Prize-Military category is Masaaki Mizobe’s “F-4EJ Kai Mitsubishi Special”. In addition to the reproduction of the rare paint shown after IRAN (regular maintenance), the painting and the work were also wonderful works that were remodeled from the EJ product to the EJ Kai according to the actual machine. I tend to look at big works, but there were also small but interesting works. At first glance, Tani Noriyuki’s work “YZF-R1 mini” looks like a normal motorcycle work, but do you feel uncomfortable? This work, labeled “mini,” cuts down on various parts of the base YZF-R1. The wheel is balanced and made by itself, and the cowl is molded with a light-curing putty. The finish was so natural that there were a lot of inquiries about small bike products. In addition, delightful works such as challenge works and scene works to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the MM have won awards this year.

Official update on the possibility of Tamiya not participating at the Nuremberg Toy Fair

We are very happy to be informed from Tamiya, Inc. International Division that the information in the previous article about the possibility of Tamiya, Inc. not participating in the future at the Nuremberg Toy Fair is not confirmed but was incorrectly reflected in the original Japanese news article, here is their official statement:

Dear TamiyaBlog,

It has come to our attention that your blog features an article about
the interview of the Shizuoka Model and Educational Materials Association
Boards held at the recent Shizuoka Hobby Show.

We wish to point out that the article, or more exactly, the original
Japanese text by the local newspaper, does not correctly reflect what our
President/Chairman Mr. S. Tamiya meant.

Namely, an expression is found which can be understood as Tamiya would not
participate in the 2020 Spielwarenmesse in Nuremberg, Germany. However, this is not
correct.

We understand that this is partly a responsibility of the original Japanese
text, but you are also kindly requested to rectify your article.

Thank you in advance for your kind and prompt attention.

Sincerely,

Tamiya, Inc. International Division

Mr. Shunsaku Tamiya and other model company presidents talking at the 58th Shizuoka Hobby Show 2019 – possibility of Tamiya not participating at Nuremberg Toy Fair!

Chairman Tamiya (front row left third person) et al. at Twin Messe Shizuoka

On the morning of the 8th, the Shizuoka Model Teaching Material Cooperative organized a press conference in its guest room.

Mr. Shunsaku Tamiya, president of the union, said that it was a meaningful day for children to discover a plastic model about the newly created “Invitation Day for Junior and Senior High School Students,” and said it intends to continue from 2020 onwards. The meeting was attended by Noriyuki Aoshima, chairman of Aoshima Bunka Shoji Co., Ltd., President Daisuke Aoshima, Akihisa Suzuki, chairman of Japan Radio Control Model Industries Association, Katsuhito Hasegawa, President of Hasegawa, and Mr. Keigo Tsutsui, General Manager of Deputy General Manager of Bandai Spirits Hobby Division.

The main questions and answers are as follows:

– The meaning of the invitation date is
Mr. Tamiya, “Japan’s education for manufacturing has been delayed in Southeast Asia. The children are now stunned to know that they can not make plastic models by looking at the illustration. I want to convey the pleasure of making and moving myself. All the children who are doing are very happy and excited. Today we have a rediscovery of plastic models, a big day. ”
Chairman Akihisa Suzuki “I have a feeling that I can enter education through the invitation day.

―Manufacturers at the venue are very happy to be in touch with their children. How did you feel at the venue
President Tamiya “I’m happy. The children are very excited. It is big that the prefecture has issued a decree. It was not possible for us alone. There may be more than half the children who are making plastic models for the first time today. ”
Mr. Aoto, “The children were sitting and talking. I feel I was really happy to do it.”
President of Hasegawa “Dozens of people are standing in the model class, and everyone is concentrating on it. I felt that the essence of the child has not changed.”
Mr. Tsutsui “Conversely, the children are given the power. Everyone who is standing on the scene will be the vitality from tomorrow. I am grateful for having such an opportunity.”

― How do you see the model market?
Mr. Tamiya “The domestic market is not active. Germany is sluggish, and the Southeast Asian market is larger than the euro zone. It has been exhibited for 52 consecutive years at the German Spielwaren Messe show, but from next year (think not to exhibit.) There is no open to the public, entrance fee is high, and the number of people is not increasing.
President Hasegawa “The burden of stay expenses and exhibition costs is heavy, and the exhibition of Spielwaren Messe will be discontinued from next year”

― Is the product conscious of teaching materials increasing?
“I think that there are some manufacturers that have changed the course of study and provided teaching materials with IT in mind, but I’m working as much as possible on the development of products that cultivate the creative power to make things by themselves.” the creative force that moves the hand build things on their own.”
