Tamiya Plastic Model Factory Limited Kit Racer Mini 4WD Neo VQS 2021 Sakura Special


It will be on sale from December 19, 2020 (Saturday) at Tamiya Plamodel Factory.
A limited edition kit, “Racer Mini 4WD Neo VQS 2021 Sakura Special”, which can only be obtained at Tamiya Plamodel Factory Shimbashi Store and Tressa Yokohama Store, will be released. Neo VQS with its speedy styling is set with an original sticker inspired by the cherry blossom petals dancing on the moonlit night. The metallic graphics of “Shimbashi” and “Yokohama” that decorate the body side and the gorgeous coloring combine to create a perfect presence. In addition, the high-performance running of the VZ chassis is expected to play an active role in racing. It is a perfect souvenir or collection.

Tamiya wins several reader awards of the magazine MODELL FAHRZEUG for 2020


The magazine MODELL FAHRZEUG – Germany’s leading magazine for car miniatures – has awarded the prestigious “Model Vehicle of the Year” prize for the 30th time. This year, the “Model Car Oscars” were chosen virtually for the first time, at the agricultural machinery specialist CLAAS in Harsewinkel.

The initiators of this year’s “Model Car Oscars” awards again had to break new ground with the trade magazine MODELL FAHRZEUG. Other times require different formats and that is why the 30th reader’s choice was made virtually. Together with the host CLAAS, the editorial staff of MODELL FAHRZEUG had decided on a digital format this year and recorded the ceremony at the agricultural machinery specialist’s headquarters in Harsewinkel. The stream with the award ceremony is now available on YouTube:

This Tamiya 1/24 scale model recreates the 2019 McLaren Senna in hyper detail! Named after legendary Formula 1 driver Ayrton Senna, this extremely track-focused hypercar is McLaren’s most calculated masterpiece. Its unmistakable appearance is dominated by numerous air intakes and aerodynamic addendum that create incredible downforce. Combine that with the extensive use of lightweight carbon fiber throughout and an insanely powerful engine and you have the recipe for a vehicle that launches like a missile and handles the curves like a go-kart!
