Construction and programming are essential to developing young minds. This TAMIYA construction kit takes Tamiya’s CAM PROGRAM ROBOT to the next level with its first product in the new Programming Robot Series. The kit includes a BBC micro:bit computer which controls the model when it is finished, and can even be modified with your own unique program. The possibilities are endless, not least for STEM work with those studying the application of programming in the classroom.
- It is equipped with a twin motor gear box that contains two low-rotation 130 motors that are less prone to noise. Because the gearbox is transparent, the mechanical mood is also plentiful. The crawler adopts the connection type which can be connected only by fitting in soft plastic.
- “BBC microbit” is a microcomputer board for education born in England. The front of the 4 x 5 cm printed circuit board has 25 LEDs, 2 button switches, an accelerometer and a direction sensor, and a wireless communication function.
- All necessary electronic parts such as “BBC micro bit”, motor drive circuit “mi-01” and ultrasonic sensor “mi-02” are set. ※ You can not select the color of the BBC microbit board.
- Since the basic driving program “run automatically while avoiding obstacles” has been installed in advance, you can play immediately assembled without a PC.
- The robot can be steered wirelessly using the BBC micro bit for controller (available separately from Tamiya Customer Service).
- Programming requires a PC (Win / Mac etc) connected to the Internet and a micro USB cable.
- You can use programming with the free web browser “MakeCode” (Japanese version) . A visual program can be performed by arranging blocks in which actions are written on the screen.
Is the computer program available in an English version?
