Electric RC car world championship match! (North Building)
Players with advanced skills and speed from the Tamiya Grand Prix All Japan Championship (11 regions), the Tamiya Asia Cup (8 countries in Asia), and the Tamiya Championship Series (North America) will compete for the title of this year’s RC World Champion Driver. RC Tank Owners Meeting Held!! (18th, South Building)
The 1/16 RC tank series is attractive for its ultimate sense of realism, recreating not only the actions unique to tanks, but also the sounds and lights. Shizoka plastic model club joint exhibition
This year, we will once again hold a joint exhibition focusing on clubs active in Shizuoka Prefecture, which is Japan’s number one producer of plastic models. This set includes a 2-lane Mini 4WD official course, an oval home circuit with 3-dimensional lane change, and 2 machines. The great thing about this is that you can start playing right away once you have assembled the course and completed your mini 4WD. The course is a special color with black corners and sky blue straights and lane changes. The two mini 4WDs we chose were Chevallia and Estura. I’m looking forward to not only racing with family and friends, but also trying time attacks.

The F-35 Lightning is a multi-role fighter that was developed based on a plan to consolidate various tactical aircraft operated by the U.S. Air Force, Navy, and Marine Corps into one type of aircraft and its derivatives, and began deployment in 2011. II. Among the three types of F-35 developed, the F-35B for the Marine Corps is capable of short takeoff/vertical landing (STOVL) with a rotating engine duct nozzle and lift fan. “1/48 F-35A Lightning II” released in December last year. The 5th generation state-of-the-art stealth fighter achieved a high level of reproducibility down to the details, from the fuselage shape to the details, and achieved a clear component configuration and exhilarating assembly through unitization, which created a great response. Inheriting this feature, we have already modeled the short takeoff/vertical landing stealth fighter “F-35B”, which is the most ambitious aircraft in the F-35 series. We approach its true form on a 1/48 scale.
A mini 4WD will be released in collaboration with Tamiya and the executive committee of the “Shogawa Water Festival” held in Tonami City, Toyama Prefecture. A limited edition set of the standard kit “Estura (MA Chassis)” (ITEM18659) with an original designed body sticker and sleeve package. Sales are scheduled to begin at the festival venue on Sunday, October 29, 2023. Limited to 900 pieces, the special venue price is 1,650 yen (tax included).
The collaboration mini 4WD’s orange-based design with blue lines is inspired by the “Shogawa and Oyabe Rivers that flow through the Tonami Plains, bearing abundant golden ears,” and includes the “Water Festival” and “1073 No. It also includes logos such as “Tonanino” and “TOYAMA.” The sleeve package features beautiful photos of Shogawa Aiguchi Dam, Kanjoji Park, Tonami Tulip Park, and Shogawa Gorge, with the main focus being the Tonami Plain dyed in the setting sun, taken by popular photographer Inagaki Yasuto of Imizu City. It has an attractive design full of regional character.
Mini 4WD races have been held continuously at the “Shogawa Water Festival” since 1996, when Mini 4WD became a nationwide boom, and the deep connection between the festival and Mini 4WD and the enthusiastic enthusiasm of the local staff are evident. Tamiya welcomes the updated re-release of the 4WD buggy Hotshot II, the original of which was first produced in 1987, after Tamiya’s first 4WD buggy, item 58047 Hotshot, released in 1985 and item 58054 Supershot released in 1986.
The Hotshot II was a lightweight design due to the use of plastic parts.
Model information:
– R/C model assembly kit in 1/10 scale. Length: 390mm, width: 235mm, height: 160mm.
– All-wheel drive with shaft drive guarantees off-road speed and stability even in the trickiest corners.
– The 4-wheel independent double wishbone suspension uses CVA (II) oil dampers (one for the front and two for the rear) with front stabiliser to get the most out of the 4WD traction.
– The body and rear wing are made of lightweight polycarbonate (0.7 mm thick) and use a colour combination with orange lines on a black base.
The polycarbonate bodywork is pre-cut and pre-painted in black.
– The front and rear mechanical shells are sealed to keep out dirt and sand and contain differentials for smooth curves.
– Sections such as the ABS monocoque frame and suspension arms are made of reinforced plastic for durability.
– Hybrid ‘semi-pneumatic’ tyres with oval pins and spikes are matched to large-diameter nylon rims.

The Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA Club Racer makes an appearance on the new and versatile MB-01 chassis platform. This time around the MB-01 is configured to be the middle wheelbase with midship rear motor/rear wheel drive (MR) specification. The Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA was developed as the lightweight, tuned race version of the 2-door coupe Giulia Sprint GT and released in 1965. 500 units were produced and in the late 1960s the works car became class champion several times in the European Touring Car Championship; also run by other racing teams, it caught a lot of attention at the racetrack!
The MB-01 Chassis
The compact, 2WD MB-01 chassis gives a choice of three types of wheelbases, and front- or rear- wheel drive system. This model employs a midship motor, rear-wheel drive setup. Without removing battery pack, motor, and R/C equipment setups from the center frame, simply change attachment directions of final gears and steering linkage to switch between front- and rear-wheel drive; low or high motor position can be chosen for rear-wheel drive cars. The 4-wheel double wishbone suspension features symmetrical structure and friction dampers. Unitized sections such as motor mount, final gears and suspension facilitate ease of assembly and effective maintenance.
