There are errors in this manual.
The image of the R-part in the parts list is incorrect.
Manual images are for hotshot or super hotshot.
hotshot2 is different from this.
Rather, it is identical to the parts of a boomerang.

The switch in the manual is different to the one supplied and the mounting instructions don’t apply… please advise…

The instructions are correct in this case. The instructions describe the installation of an original Tamiya speed controller. But at the moment, most Tamiya RC Car kits do not come with original Tamiya speed controllers. Tamiya cannot provide enough ESCs. That’s why most distributors include aftermarket speed controllers from Hobbywing or Carson. These do not have a screwable on/off switch. Install them using double sided tape.
