Tamiya limited edition Bronco CC-02 project



Tamiya’s recent release of the limited edition CC-02 Bronco was the perfect excuse for a new project build. This version of the Tamiya CC-02 Bronco kit comes with a prepainted and precut body from the factory. You get a quality finish and it takes care of a task many are afraid to complete. So in this video, Greg will quickly go over the kit and then show you all of the options available for it if you want to build up an exciting project. This turned out to be a wild build with the installation of the optional tracks and you’ll see them in action tearing up mud and snow!

Tamiya Plastic Model Factory Limited Kit Mini 4WD Dual Ridge Jr. 2023 Burning Special


Released at Tamiya Plastic Model Factory from March 21, 2023 (holiday / Tuesday)
“Dual Ridge Jr. 2023 Burning Special”, a limited kit that can only be obtained at Tamiya Plastic Model Factory Shinbashi Store and Tressa Yokohama Store, will appear. Designed by hyper designer Kayuki Yamazaki, the aggressive style that cuts through the air is colored with a special sticker with a burning fire pattern. The “Tamiya Plamodel Factory” logo and checkered flag graphics add to the mood. Of course, the lightweight and compact VZ chassis and super hard small-diameter low-height tires make for a high-performance ride that you can’t miss. It is finished in a passionate one that stimulates the racer spirit.

Since the first generation model release in 1951, the Toyota Land Cruiser has been one of the most famous 4WD vehicles in the world. This R/C model assembly kit recreates the Land Cruiser 300 series announced in 2021. The polycarbonate body realistically depicts the eye-catching, dignified form with separate parts to capture the distinctive large front grille’s horizontal fins and metal-plated sections. Light case and door mirror components are metal-plated, and door handles and shark fin antenna on roof are rendered by separate parts for more realism. Silver color 12-spoke wheels are paired with block pattern tires.
CC-02 chassis
Designed for a wide range of off-road scenes including rocky terrain, the CC-02 chassis’ ladder frame is inspired by full-size vehicles and is the base for its superior durability. A 4WD setup employs the motor longitudinally behind the front axle, with separated gearbox and transfer case, and propeller shafts transmitting power to the differential gears front and rear. 20 gear ratios between 11.09:1 and 29.28:1 are possible. 4-link rigid suspension is employed front and rear, with CVA oil dampers.

Tamiya’s designers have taken inspiration from its back catalog of iconic 2WD off-road buggies to bring fans of radio control the ALL-NEW BBX! This 1/10 R/C 2WD off-road buggy model features a combination of classic design and modern performance. Its brand-new chassis, reminiscent of 1980’s sand rail dune buggies, is a hybrid monocoque-roll cage and employs rear trailing arm suspension inspired by full-size UTV’s. The new body is designed by famed Japanese artist Atsushi Arino and utilizes a classic 1980’s inspired livery with retro wheels and tires to match!
Key Features:
• 1/10 R/C assembly kit. Length: 414mm, height: 136mm, width: 233mm. Wheelbase: 283mm.
• The classically designed 0.7mm thick polycarbonate body is split into three sections to recreate the tapered lower shape of the actual dune buggy.
• NEW: Newly designed 2WD chassis is based on the one-piece monocoque frame and roll cage to allow use of realistic bodies.
