How I long and pray that Avante 2001 will be packed in that same production line. The classic box art again the last one of the avante family.
Also how about an officially released Egress driver why have tinted screens for H Ogre. A figure as optional would be super, small things like these make all the difference.
2021 make it happen
In recent years Tamiya tends to use actual prototype photos for the new RC kits boxart, and artist drawings as boxart are becoming rare (unless it is a re-release item, and old boxart is re-used too). Really a pity, as those artist drawings boxart are really great artistic works. A way of cost-cutting? Or try to protect itself from possible criticism that the boxart impressions are not “actual description” of the kits?
Good question, a possible third explanation could be the (younger?) market they are often targeted to, as for example much lower price static kits and Mini 4WD still mainly have drawn box art.
