Quite a surprising announce, both because Tamiyablog only publishes facts and not rumors, and because of the models.
The F-150 Baja 1995 does smell like the 1995 58161 re-release… but it was still on sale in 2008 in German stores. Might have been an old stock but I doubt this was a 10-year remaining stock.
Avante truck: past the first suprise, it might make sense. With a heavy dosis of guess, could the wheelbase and track serve as a basis for something looking like a stadium truck?
Super Blackfoot III: where’s the II? Could this mean that orginal Blackfoot and Monster Beetle wouldn’t be re-released as per original due to gearbox weaknesses? Might we go for re-releases based on the more reliable SBF chassis?
Anyway, any idea of release dates for these as they are not displayed in Shizuoka? Summer releases?
Cheers,

Hello,
About the AV truck I personally hope it will be on a modern chassis with just AV style and looks and not on the fragile and outdated AV one as the possibly longer suspension arms and larger tires would make it even worse.
About the SBF III, maybe they now count the King Blackfoot as II? But why wouldn’t they also count the Blackfoot Extreme then? Questions over questions.
Cheers,

@Black Hole Sun;
at Tamiyablog we don’t see any conflict between our general rule of publishing only verified facts and our latest post. After all, we clearly point out that the information hasn’t yet been verified, unlike many other sites, who regularly publish similarly vague information as if they were facts. In this case, some of the information is so credible (the TT-01E Sumo GT-R for instance), that we assume that the rest of the information is basically correct, if however vague and some details possibly wrong (thus the disclaimer). This, along with surely strong interest about these items, made us decide to publish it, but only after thorough considerations and discussions.
As for the Super Blackfoot III, if it’s at all based on the ORV-frame, we think it will rather be based on the King Blackfoot than the Super Blackfoot chassis. After all, the King Blackfoot had several important improvements over the Super Blackfoot. Whether or not a Monster Beetle version is in the pipeline is totally unknown to us, but if the Super Blackfoot III is back to a 250-260mm wheelbase of the Blackfoot, Super Blackfoot and King Blackfoot (unlike the Blackfoot Xtreme’s 280+mm), the chances of a Monster Beetle on the same chassis would seem better.
@admin: right, big tires on the AV chassis would make it even more fragile, but that was a guess based on the model name. Other than that, I can’t imagine a truck with AV look π Let’s see…
@admin and Erik: right again. Might also be a replacement for the BFX that’s pretty old now. Perhaps a WR-03 chassis thus the SBF III. Let’s see too.
@Erik: sorry, my message was misunderstood (or badly written). No complaint about rumors being published on Tamiyablog: your information has always proved to be reliable and I see no exception to this one.
I meant I am very surprised how soon this information reaches us given the fact that Shizuoka fair is still on. Which means these models are to be released this summer or for the All Japan Model Hobby Show in late october.

This super surprising rumours makes me write my first reaction on this blog.
And I really can’t say or imagine what a Avante Truck can be.
The Avante name has been used for a wide range of 1/32 Mini 4WD with different variations, but a truck is something very incompatible with the Avante concept.
We al hope it would be an exciting car, but the idea of “Madbullized” Avante would be horrific.
I know
58495 1/10 FORD F-150 1995 BAJA
I have heard from a friend who has a friend…
This is a Re-Release of the 58161 Ford with different colored gearcases π
For #58500 i wish it would be something like a bruiser. Ok, i don’t mind if its number #58510.

Q I know: At Tamiyablog, one of the theories we discussed on Sunday (before you posted), is that it might be a re-release on the TA02 “ST” chassis, but possibly with a different colour (black presumably) gearboxes and steering knuckles instead of the original’s red parts, as red parts would look a bit outdated on it now. It could turn out to be right, but that would just mean that one of several guesses was right. Similarly, it would mean that you were guessing correctly too with one of several quite likely possibilities.
The 58495 1/10 FORD F-150 1995 BAJA has know been confimed according to the Tamiya website.
Not showing on the your list above is the limited re-release of the HKS Opel Vectra (58159) on the FF03 chassis. Nice!
I am still waiting for the 58500 and the Avante Truck to emerge on the scene – cause I am VERY curious, to say the least π

Yes, we noticed them this morning, also interesting to see that Tamiya calls the chassis now correctly TA02T.
We are also very curious on the Avante Truck, but don’t think the 58500 will be as spectacular as speculated by some π

Some insider info…. I work at a shop that deals with Tamiya (well the local Tamiya supplier), and judging by the price for the Avante Truck kit, it must be…. brushless!!! A replacement for the Levant I assume

By the way the Levant has long been replaced the Super Levant π

Whatever happened to the Tamiya Lamborghini Miura? The pictures were on tamiya USA and then they vanished without trace!
To be honest I would love to see the Aventador, Murcialago Super Veloce, Reventon and Diablo.
Lamborghini fans worldwide would go crazy for those releases!!
Using TA05 V2 or even TT01E Chassis.
If Tamiya and Automobil Lamborgini would agree to licences and fees etc- how great would that be!
The best of those would be ” Lamborghini Murcialago Super Veloce” -go to the web to see photos of that vehicle!
Unconfirmed, yes….but never the less, you guys are the best π
Ford F-150 Baja….hmmm, a new chassis?
And Avante truck? I can not wait to see this π
Hmmm, but you forgot 58500 π
Best Regards

Thank you, we try out best π
We hope the F150 will be on the DF-03Ra but somehow we are afraid it could be just a re-release of the TA-02ST.
