Why Tamiya losts enegry for this small monsters, and don`t develope 1-25 scale. The next blind way after 1-48 scale.
You have some old models ,for sure they wait for new revised edition ,without mistakes. At this scale You can hide all IR system like Vs or FOV doing . I would like to see Tamiya on the 1-25 scale market together with Tasca (Bravo for 1-24 new line) ,Vs and FOV.
    Send regards Piter

If you are into 1/25-24 RC tanks and/or 1/35 static armour models yourself, I can understand that you’re not too happy about the way things are developing, but that doesn`t that it’s wrong from a bigger perspective.

Tamiya’s 1/48 armour series have now existed for 7 years, and the regular series consists of 68 different kits, with a few “specials” in other series. It’s pretty clear that this is not a “wrong way” for Tamiya and a big portion of Tamiya enthusiasts out there, otherwise the series would have been dead years ago.

As for 1/24-25 scale RC-tanks, the two RC-tanks that Tamiya has so far released in 1/25 scale are based on old existing molds. In other words, putting these into production as RC-models has generated modest cost. If Tamiya should see that there is a big enough market for 1/24-25 between 1/35 and 1/16 RC, I think they will be prepared to invest whatever it takes to release further models.

Similarly, all ten 1/35 RC tanks from Tamiya are based on existing molds from static/motorized/cable remote kits, and the simple fact that the series has already existed for 11 years is probably an indication that the models have been well received in the market.

I have to add the usual disclaimer though; unlike most people who claim to get inside information directly from Tamiya, at Tamiyablog we don’t pretend sit in Tamiya-san’s brain, and our comments are thus based on readily available factual data, long time observations and impressions. Accordingly, my statements above are not intended to reflect Tamiya’s views, decisions or opinions.
