I am impressed with how you cut the unimog body to fit the WR-02 chassis. I also have a spare unimog body which I would like to adapt to the Willy.
Can you show me where you cut the bed? You did it so cleanly it’s almost like a factory original!
and thanks for your comment and inquiry! I built the “Mad Mog” quite some time ago, so I have to check the model to see exactly how I cut the bed as I simply don’t remember. Anyway, part of the modification was to cut out a V-shaped piece of the front part of the bed, so the rear part would slip over it. Also, to make the two halves blend, I cut the upper front side of the rear half to allow them “go around” the front bed locks. Also, I shortened and modified the separate pieces that consists of rear fender tank and other details of the bottom sides that are painted black. In other words, quite a bit of cutting is required, but it’s not difficult and by using thin double sided tape, the parts can be assembled without the seams being too obvious.
If of interest, I’ll try to make som photos for you so you can more easily recognise where and how the cuts were done.
